Earlier in her interview with Collider, Maisie Williams noted that The New Mutants wrapped principal photography last September, so there was going to be a quick turnaround from cameras rolling to the effects being developed in post-production to the movie's theatrical release. Williams knows from her time on Game of Thrones how much work goes into making a visually-dazzling project look great, so in her opinion, The New Mutants will benefit from being delayed 10 months. Plus, it will allow her, and by extension her co-stars, to get to know the project even better once they've come back for reshoots. If Williams' predictions are correct, then moviegoers will surely agree with her by around this time next year.
