Colin Trevorrow Wants To Bring Back Laura Dern and Sam Neill for 'Jurassic World 3'
Colin Trevorrow, who wrote and directed "Jurassic World," co-wrote "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," and will be directing the third "Jurassic World," says he'd love to bring back Ellie Satler (Laura Dern) and Alan Grant (Sam Neill).
On MTV's "Seen It, Spill It," Trevorrow said, "We felt like ["Fallen Kingdom"] was Malcolm's return, this was his moment... let him have his moment. I feel that way about everyone, especially Laura [Dern] in that she never got to have her own movie... that's important."
So, would the focus be on Dern in the third film? We'd be down with that, but given how little screen time Goldblum got in "Fallen Kingdom," that's highly doubtful.
What about the return of Dr. Grant? Trevorrow said he felt fans would feel "robbed" if Sam Neill didn't return also.
Getting those two understandably dinosaur-wary doctors back on board would require some major plot calisthenics, but "Jurassic" movie plots are usually not heavy on believablity.
We'll see when "Jurassic World 3" opens in 2021.
